I’m chiming in a bit late here (trying to catch up with my blog reading). Must-see movie: “Pay it Forward” with Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt. Great single mama movie, great message overall, and a real feel-good movie…although you’ll need to have tissues for the ending. I’d seen it before and forgot the ending…boohooed the second time as much as (or more) than the first. Still loved it though!

In the genre of single parent films, I really liked The Pursuit of Happyness. I watched it on DVD not long into my single parent-ness and cried.

And of course, Juno is a winner. Cried in that one, too.

Wonderful film…I also saw it recently via Netflix and fell in love with the story and soundtrack. (And it’s extra sweet that Marketa Irglova & Glen Hansard are now a couple off-screen.) I recommend adding Juno to your queue, if you haven’t seen it.
